Fine Metronome is a professional package tool for musicians (professionals and newbies) and itÂ’s ideal for (self) training and home experiments. Sometimes you need to start playing in a specific pace for yourself or to synchronize the whole band. Educators may want to log the progress of their students day after dayÂ… This are examples when a metronome is demanded. But why a software metronome? There are good reasons. It never winds down like a mechanical one. And it has huge potential capabilities comparing to a solely electronic device. What about arbitrary rhythm patterns, custom sound samples, integrated tempo notebook, automatic BPM recognition..? Some of these features have been already implemented in Fine Metronome, while others are still to come.

With BomeÂ’s Midi Translator Pro, you can control your computer from MIDI devices or other devices: e.g. you can control your favorite software with a MIDI control surface, use MIDI turntables with arbitrary DJ software, map MIDI messages to other MIDI messages, and much more!

If you have a computer and any MIDI device hooked up, Bome’s MIDI translator is the most useful tool you can find. You can freely manipulate any incoming MIDI signals, and re-route them to the place of your choosing. The most common application for this is to use it as a step in between your MIDI controller and your DAW (such as Reason or Ableton.) Personally, I use it to remap the signals from my electronic drum kit to Reason 4.0, but the possibilities are endless!

To install, simply unrar and run “midi.translator.pro.1.6.1.exe” and that’s it!

Note: Also included is a small freeware program called loopbe1, this is a virtual MIDI port for your computer. If you are having trouble figuring out how to route the modified signal from MIDI translator to your application, install loopbe1 and your problems will most likely be solved.
